Activities around Headlands

Coastal Path Sign

There are two first class golf courses within five miles of the hotel. In addition there is a sports complex in St. Austell whilst horse riding and shark and wreck fishing is available locally.

For those who enjoy walking, the Coastal footpath passes the hotel.

The picturesque fishing port of Mevagissey has a very high reputation for being one of the most attractive on the South Cornish Coast with its white and colour-washed cottages perched on the slopes of the hills encircling the two harbours.

Fishing still remains one of the chief occupations of the locals living here, and boat trips are available throughout the year from the harbour.

Heligan Gardens

Heligan Cycle Sign

Heligan is the largest European garden restoration project ever attempted. One particular success was the restoration of the Pineapple house - yes, they really can grow pineapples in Cornwall! Well worth a visit, many visitors have commented how it is as worthy of a visit as Eden if not more so depending upon your horticultural interests.

Eden Project

The Eden Project, situated at Bodelva, St. Austell is a 20 minute drive from the Headlands Hotel. A giagantic global garden hailed as the “eighth wonder of the world” and has quickly become on of Cornwall's must see attractions, set in a breathtaking 35 crater overlooking St. Austell Bay.
